Bishop Caggiano is inviting all parish catechetical leaders to join him for a conversation, updates on initiatives, and more.We will open the doors promptly at 9 am for refreshments, then begin morning prayer at 9:30 am. Presentations will include the evaluation process every parish will undertake in the coming years, updates for OCIA, sacramental record-keeping, and more. Plus, as always, we will be giving away tons of great stuff.

Who Should Attend?
Everyone who bears responsibility for formation in the parish: DRE/CRE, youth ministry leaders, OCIA coordinators, and those who help prepare families, young people, or adults for reception of the sacraments.
Clergy are welcome, but not expected to attend.

How to Bring Lapsed Catholics Back Home | Bryan Mercier
The next event will take place at St. Catherine of Siena in Trumbull on Sept. 17th, 2026 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Bryan Mercier will discuss How to Bring Lapsed Catholics Back Home. Light refreshments will be available prior to the start of the program. After an initial period of prayer, the lecturer will present a 45-minute talk. After a short break, there will be a 30-minute period of conversation and dialogue with participants.

First Witness Parents' Retreat
The retreat will also provide a chance to connect with other First Witnesses families from parishes across the diocese. Together, we will share experiences, encourage one another, and discover the warmth of a growing community of parents and mentors committed to helping families and their children encounter Christ.
Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided in the morning with lunch to follow.

OCIA: Open Office Hours
OCIA Open Office Hours is an optional monthly gathering for Pastors and OCIA coordinators. This is an opportunity to discuss questions about any part of the OCIA process, including, but not limited to, canonical questions, pastoral planning, how to develop a curriculum, how to form and prepare unformed teenagers and children for the reception of the sacraments, mystagogy, and other topics related to OCIA ministry.
The purpose of these sessions is to support those serving in OCIA ministry by providing practical guidance, concrete resources, and actionable steps to strengthen and enrich their parish's OCIA process.
