February 20, 2025
10:30am - 2:00pmSt. Francis of Assisi Parish
35 Norfield Rd
Weston, CT
Note - this event was moved from October to the new date.
All catechetical leaders and pastors are invited to join us on February 20, 2025, for an insightful presentation by Sr. Mary Michael Fox. She will be discussing the transformative pedagogy of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This is a great opportunity to learn more and enrich your ministry.
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a profound and spiritually enriching method of educating children in Christ. Rooted in Scripture, the Catholic liturgy, and the pedagogical principles of Maria Montessori, this approach offers a unique and deeply meaningful way to nurture children's faith.
Through hands-on activities, children explore and engage with the core tenets of Christianity in a way that is both accessible and impactful. This method fosters a personal relationship with God, encouraging children to discover and deepen their faith in an environment tailored to their developmental needs.
With its emphasis on reflective and experiential learning, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd helps children grow in their understanding of the Bible, the sacraments, and the liturgical life of the Church, creating a solid foundation for their lifelong spiritual journey.
