DESCRIPTION:One of the most common questions asked at meetings lately is, "How do we serve a family that arrives in the parish having been out of formation for some time?" There is no set plan for these situations, but many parishes have come up with creative ways to answer this need.

Join us for a inaugural Formation Lab, a new event which will be hosted two or three times a year around specific topics. For our first lab, we will be joined by Amy McEntee, publisher of RCL/Benzinger.

Amy will guide a conversation among all who wish to join us (including formation leaders, catechists, priests, deacons) about how we can pastorally respond to situations that arise when young people or their parents take a very non-traditional route in their journey of faith.

Bring your own recommended practices. Bring resources to share (email ahead of time and we can tell you how many copies – or send them to us and we will make the copies!)

What is your parish doing? What are your questions? What have you found that works for your parents and students? A good part of the day will be dedicated to listening to one another share their own great ideas.
