DESCRIPTION:This course will empower attendees to consider how the Church can help to provide community support for mental health.

This event is brought to you by the Department of Lifelong Learning at Virginia Theological Seminary.

This Tuesday evening four-part short course will meet online via Zoom, 6:00-7:30 p.m. eastern February 13-March 5, 2024.

Although despair is not a new phenomenon, the rates of suicide and mental distress keep increasing. As people of faith, we must proclaim hope for the hurting in ways that are action-oriented, Christ-centered, and clinically appropriate. Join us this Spring for an empowering look at suicide, mental illness and distress, and the role the Church can play in providing community support to those who need it most.
