Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness

“Hunger and thirst for righteousness” is a powerful Beatitude that speaks to the deep longing for justice and moral integrity. For Catholic teenagers, this Beatitude encourages them to strive for fairness, compassion, and ethical living. According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are promised satisfaction through God’s grace and justice. This pursuit fosters a sense of purpose and direction in teenagers’ lives, motivating them to make positive contributions to their communities. It also helps them develop a strong moral compass, which is crucial for their personal and spiritual growth. Embracing this Beatitude can lead to greater empathy, resilience, and a commitment to social justice, ultimately enhancing their mental and emotional well-being.
