Hotel Transylvania 2
Several years after the events of the first film, Dracula’s daughter and her human husband are happily married with an adorable son named Dennis. As Dennis approaches his fifth birthday without showing any signs of fangs or vampire abilities, Dracula grows worried that his grandson might be entirely human.
With his daughter and son-in-law away on a trip, Dracula enlists his monster friends to put Dennis through an intensive “monster-in-training” boot camp, hoping to bring out his vampire side before it’s too late. But Dracula’s plans are complicated when his own father Vlad, who despises humans, arrives for an unexpected visit, forcing Dracula to hide the fact that the hotel now welcomes human guests and that his grandson might not be a vampire at all.
Despite featuring monsters, Hotel Transylvania 2 offers a light-hearted animated comedy with pro-family themes of acceptance, embracing family members’ unique gifts rather than trying to force them into one’s own image. The film is rated PG, but does include some crude humor.
