Orion and the Dark

Orion is an 11-year-old boy whose extensive list of fears includes everything from public speaking to school bathrooms and bugs. His biggest fear? The dark. One night, his fear literally comes to life when Dark himself appears in his bedroom, offering to take him on a journey to show that there’s nothing to be afraid of when the sun goes down.

Together with Dark and his team of nighttime companions – including Insomnia, Unexplained Noises, and Sweet Dreams – Orion discovers the magic that only exists after sunset. But when Orion accidentally hurts Dark’s feelings by expressing his preference for Light, the night entities abandon their duties and Dark himself disappears, throwing the world into chaos. Hoping to set things right again, Orion realizes he must change how he deals with his fears.

Orion and the Dark is a heartwarming and exploration of how we face our fears and embrace life’s uncertainties. While not officially rated, it would likely be PG, and is family-friendly.
