The Portable Door

With Halloween on the horizon, this week’s film is a whimsical fantasy with a light dash of monsters.

After Paul unintentionally stumbles into a bizarre job interview, he’s offered a job with a magical and mysterious company whose task it is to carefully set up the world’s “coincidences”. The new job takes an even weirder turn when Paul is asked to find the elusive “portable door”, a powerful door which allows its users to instantly travel all over the world.

But when Paul finds the door, he also uncovers dark secrets behind the company’s bosses, and realizes he must put an end to their sinister plot.

The Portable Door is a whimsical film offering a classic good-vs-evil adventure, showing the ugliness of greed and the desire for power. It is rated PG, but includes some frightening imagery and mild fantasy violence that may be too intense for very young viewers.
