Zootopia 2

Rabbit Judy Hopps and fox Nick Wilde return as mammalian police officers wrapped up in another mysterious case, this time involving reptiles and the founding of the city of Zootopia. Judy’s intense and determined approach to police work causes friction with Nick’s laid-back, easy-going attitude, and their partnership is put to the test when a snake arrives revealing secrets about how reptiles used to be part of the thriving metropolis.

As the pair investigate, they discover that reptiles were kicked out of Zootopia many years ago, based on the lies of a powerful family, who continue to guard certain secrets of Zootopia’s true history. When the rabbit and fox’s investigation gets them framed themselves, it not only threatens to destroy their careers, but their friendship. If they’re going to have any hope of solving the case and shedding light on the injustices of the past, they’ll need to learn to trust each other again.

While maintaining the clever humor of the original film, this sequel once again tackles themes of prejudice, institutional injustice, and explores what friendship and teamwork require, such as honest communication, vulnerability, and effort to maintain. Rated PG, the film is family friendly, but does include some mild animated violence and crude humor.
