Conversation About the (New) Directory

The Directory for Catechesis is, quite literally, our guidebook for how we reimagine catechesis in our parishes and schools.

For our third in-person meeting, all parish catechetical leaders(youth ministers, principals, directors/coordinators of faith formation, etc.) will meet for prayer, fellowship, and new ideas.

We will open the doors promptly at 9:00 am for refreshments and then begin with morning prayer at 9:30 am.

Bishop Caggiano will join us to give his take on the (new) Directory for Catechesis.

Joe Paprocki from Loyola Press will follow.

All participants will receive a free gift, likely in the form of a book that will guide our day.

About Our Presenter

Joe Paprocki, DMin, has been a catechetical leader and religious educator in the Chicago area for more than thirty years. His books include Living the Mass, The Bible Blueprint, and The Catechist’s Toolbox (Loyola Press). He is the National Consultant for Faith Formation at Loyola Press in Chicago. Who Should Attend?

Everyone who bears responsibility for formation in the parish: DRE/CRE, youth ministry leaders, RCIA coordinators, and those who help prepare families, young people, or adults for reception of the sacraments.

Clergy are welcome, but not obliged to attend.

Note: All should have read the Directory for Catechesis prior to attending. Copies were mailed to all parishes.
