Big Bully

Here’s a little comedy from the mid-90s.

As a child, David Leary is constantly tormented by the school bully nicknamed “Fang”. His lunches are stolen and his toys are broken. But after the bully is arrested for stealing and David’s family moves away, David’s problems seem to be over.

Returning to town decades later as an adult, David (Rick Moranis) takes a teaching position at his old school, where he discovers the bully of his past also teaches. But his old bully has become soft and unwilling to stand up for himself, until he realizes his old victim has returned, and he can’t resist becoming a bully once more.

While the bullying is often more comic than serious in this slapstick comedy, the film does examine the motivations of bullying, noting how problems in one area of life easily affect others. The film is rated PG, but does include some crude humor, language, and slapstick violence.
