Dream Horse

“We can’t stop ourselves from dreaming of bigger things.”

Unsatisfied with her unfulfilling job in her small Welsh town, middle-aged Jan Vokes (Toni Collette) decides to raise a race horse. She has no experience with race horses and can hardly afford the expensive endeavour, but manages to interest friends and neighbors to pitch in some time and money to make the dream a reality.

While raising and racing the horse comes with its unique challenges, Jan and her friends also find that the project forces them to reflect on their own aspirations and what it means to pursue them, highlighting how the pursuit of a dream is not just about the end goal, but also the journey, and the impact it has on oneself and the community around them.

Based on a true story, Dream Horse is a family-friendly film that celebrates the power of community and determination, offering the inspiring message that it’s never too late to learn new things and embark on new adventures.
