Jingle Jangle

Here’s a whimsical and imaginative story to consider as Christmastide comes to an end.

Soon after the inventor and toymaker Jeronicus Jangle finishes a prototype of his latest wondrous toy, his apprentice steals it, using it to achieve fame and fortune. Jangle’s wife dies soon after, and Jangle falls into despair.

Thirty years later, Jangle’s granddaughter, called Journey, arrives in town for a visit just before Christmas. She shares her grandfather’s passion for math and inventing, but is disappointed to find that her grandfather’s enthusiasm seems to have vanished, replaced by a cold indifference.

Still, Journey hopes to learn all she can from her grandfather while she has the chance. It’s a good thing, too, since her youthful optimism will be needed to face a returning foe, an old apprentice on a mission to steal another invention.

Framed as a Christmas bedtime story told by the fire, Jingle Jangle is a light-hearted family-friendly adventure featuring catchy tunes and celebrating the magic of confidence, perseverance, family, and hope, providing a positive and optimistic message as a new year begins.
