The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
To escape the bombings in London during World War II, four young siblings evacuate to an old professor’s country estate, where the youngest unexpectedly discovers a magical wardrobe that serves as a portal to the land of Narnia.
She soon learns that Narnia is trapped in an eternal winter, cursed by an evil White Witch who will stop at nothing to maintain her power. When all four siblings eventually make it into the fantastical land, they team up with the noble lion Aslan and the good creatures of Narnia to try and break the Witch’s spell.
Based on the beloved novel by C.S. Lewis, this vibrant adaptation brings the world of Narnia to life with an exciting fantasy adventure about courage, family, and the ultimate triumph of good over evil. With themes of sacrifice and resurrection, the story is famous for its clear Christian allegory, especially relevant with Easter on the horizon.
The film is family-friendly, rated PG for battle sequences and some frightening moments.
