Second Week of Advent: Love

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, open my heart to receive your love.
You pour out your graces in abundance,
offering strength to the weary, solace to the sorrowful,
forgiveness to the repentant, and light to the fearful.
As I receive these gifts of love from you,
help me not to hoard them, but to share them.
May I become an icon of your love
for everyone I encounter today.
Grant my prayer through Jesus Christ, your Son and my Beloved. Amen.
