Night Of Worship (NOW)

7:00pm

NOW’s mission is to engage young adult Catholics (18-35) in the act we were made for: uniting ourselves to the One Who we desire and offering ourselves as an act of praise. We were made for worship, now and for eternity. This life is not just rehearsal, and this night will serve as a glimpse into our eternity with our Creator. For this reason, NOW as a title serves these two purposes: not only communicating the Night of Worship as an acronym but also communicating our intentional and Christian responsibility to glorify our Lord: first, now, in this life to work toward communion with our Lord and each other, so that we can then celebrate in perpetual worship with Him and each other for all eternity.

NOW will feature praise and worship led by Village Lights’ Ricky Vazquez, Mass, Adoration, fellowship, prayer teams for deliverance ministry, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, short introductions to different communities in the area, and a witness on our theme, Whole Heart, which will speak about surrendering our whole hearts to our Savior.

Lunch and Learn: Celebrating Our Diversity with Leticia Ochoa Adams

12:00pm
The Diocese of Bridgeport presents the 2022-2023 Bishop's Speaker Series: Celebrating Our Diversity.

Continuing our great conversations on race, held in July and August 2020, Bishop Caggiano invites you to log on and hear a brief presentation by Leticia Ochoa Adams.

About Our Speaker
Leticia Ochoa Adams is a born and raised Tejana who loves bluebonnets, longhorns and Texas shaped Waffles. She writes and speaks on faith, grief and suicide loss because after the loss of her oldest son Anthony to suicide she saw a lack of space for honest grieving and acknowledgement of trauma so she set out to create one.

Inspired by other women who have a passion and gift for storytelling like Jen Fulwiler, Nora McInerny and Stephanie Wittles Wachs who all make stories on their own terms, Leticia set out to do the same which is to use storytelling as the means to change the world’s idea of what it means to grieve, be a mother and change dysfunctional patterns that have been set for generations.
