Matilda

Matilda is a heartwarming yet difficult movie about a young girl who loves to read. She wanders back and forth to the library with a wagon full of books; while her family watches TV, she scours the pages of her newest find.

But Matilda is no ordinary child. She is mischievous at times, but it’s more than that: she has the power of telekinesis.

This film follows Matilda as she navigates a troublesome life, both at home (where her parents neglect her) and at school (where the principal makes every day a challenge). She finds solace in the friendship of a teacher and in her books.

Even as Matilda shows that friendship can come in unlikely places, and that one should never change themselves to please others, its lessons come with a good dose of humor.
