With Advent officially here, this week’s film is a recent adaptation of a Dr. Suess holiday classic.

You’re no doubt already familiar with the premise. The Grinch, living alone on a mountain just outside of Whoville, is a curmudgeon who hates Christmas. To stop the Who’s from their incessant seasonal good cheer, the Grinch decides to steal Christmas by posing as Santa Claus and stealing everyone’s presents, decorations, and Christmas trees.

Meanwhile, the young Cindy-Lou has been trying to get in touch with Santa to tell him her Christmas wish, but is having no luck. Her last hope is to set a trap for Santa.

The Grinch is a family-friendly comedy, complete with its well-known lesson that the Christmas holiday is about much more than decorations and presents.
